Coolum Farm Fresh is a proud local fruit & vegetables and ‘extras’ shop. Our small fruit and veg shop is dedicated to quality locally sourced produce, excellent service and cheap prices. Our low prices allow families in the community to have an honest chance and give the community an alternative to the supermarkets.

We are situated in the heart of Coolum, which proves to be very convenient for our customers. Our old-fashioned and family atmosphere within our greengrocer brings a comfortable element to the shop. We always provide our customers with quality fruit and vegetables at suitable prices, you can’t go wrong. We are hard-working at what we do and it proves to be working!

We are confident that the produce you buy from us will be noticeably fresher than the produce you would get from a Supermarket or Fruit Shop. This is because we buy directly from local Farmers every week day and hand select our produce supplied through the markets.

Value

Our prices are equivalent to, and often better, than most supermarkets and fruit shops. And with our free delivery, you may save a little extra, by reducing your travel costs going back and forth to the shop.

Local

Through his years of experience on the coast Matt has developed relationships with many local growers and farmers. The shop will always feature locally sourced seasonal produce that represents great value for money for our customers and provides growers with a fair return as they are not being squeezed by the larger chains!

Fresh Produce

Wherever possible we ‘source our produce from local farmers and in many cases produce is picked in the morning and delivered to the store within hours. You can’t get any fresher than that!

Of course not everything grows locally, so we have also developed a fantastic network of producers who also supply directly to our store or through their marketing agents. Since not everything grows in our region, we use our knowledge as farmers to source ethically grown, quality produce from family farms around Australia.

We then follow a simple ‘farm to shop’ process. That means produce makes it from growers to our stores in the shortest possible time frame ensuring our customers receive only the freshest quality produce which represents great value for money.

We also cater for large and wholesale orders, particularly for local community organisations. If you are ever looking for something particular that we don’t usually stock, just see Matt or any of our friendly team who will always be happy to help.

Matt’s is also famous for our locally grown fresh herbs. You will find a daily selection in our chillers, most are picked fresh that morning – so if you’re a foodie you’re really going to love us!

Dairy & Small Goods

Did you know that we have no less than three nationally renowned cheese makers on the Sunshine Coast? And yes, we stock their products. But that’s not all, there are yoghurts and milk as well as a range of cheeses and condiments.

We also stock a range of boutique small goods supplied by Tewantin Country Meats. These products are exceptional quality and are made using traditional artisan methods and smoked onsite in their own smoke house.

You will also find Coconut Water (both bulk and refrigerated), Coyo Yoghurts and a growing range of locally produced boutique products such as preserves and pickles.

Bakery & Dry Goods

Bakery

We have some fantastic local bakers and they deliver to the store everyday we’re open! From our local German Bakehouse, to the freshest Turkish Pides you’ll find that ‘something’ you just can’t get at a supermarket or most bakeries! Of course if you’re just after a cheap loaf of bread without the ‘nasty preservatives’ – we have that too – thanks to Homestyle Bakery. We have also recently added Noosa Gourmet Pies to our range, you will find them in the chiller.

Dried Fruit & Nuts

Matt’s also stock a range of hand packed nuts, dried fruits, seeds and ‘trail mixes’. These are made up of a quality products supplied here on the coast and packed by Matt’s staff. Compare them to the packaged stuff from the supermarkets and you’ll be able to tell the difference!

Honey

Matt’s Yellow Box Honey is sourced directly from a farmers hives West of Kenilworth in the Jimna Mountains. We buy in bulk and portion it in store to 2 sizes a small (approx 550g) and a large (approx 880g). Unlike mass produced honey, it is never heated and has a unique taste that is typical of our region. You really have to try it to understand how real honey should taste!

Real Free Range Eggs

Unlike many of the – well let’s call them ‘big guys’ – Matt’s eggs are truly free range. Sourced from farmers in both The Redlands and also locally at Kenilworth they are from Farmers who truly care about the welfare of their hens – and you can taste the difference! Also available – Certified Organic.

Grocery Lines

We are constantly increasing our range of gourmet and grocery lines and are always on the look out for that something a little different. You will find things like Murray River Pink Salt, Gourmet Mixed Peppers and other surprises hiding on our shelves as you move around the store.

Home Delivery

Our staff not only pack your goods, we also carry them to your car and we even HOME DELIVER and it’s FREE for orders over $25 in our local area! We also offer a pick, pack and deliver service so if for some reason you can’t get to us – we will get to you! It’s all part of the service here at Matt’s!
